Setting Global Standards

Interventional Oncology

Liver Cancer Treatment

Advanced minimally invasive therapies for primary liver cancer (HCC) and metastatic tumors.

Targeted Interventional Oncology for Liver Cancer

Liver cancer is highly vascular, making it an ideal candidate for targeted interventional radiology procedures. We offer tumor ablation, TACE, and TARE to treat cancer cells directly while sparing healthy liver tissue.

Understanding the Condition

Liver cancer can be primary (starting in the liver) or metastatic (spreading from other organs). Interventional oncology provides non-surgical alternatives for patients who may not be candidates for traditional surgery.

Common Symptoms

  • Unexplained weight loss and loss of appetite
  • Pain or swelling in the upper right abdomen
  • Jaundice (yellowing of skin and eyes)
  • Persistent fatigue and nausea

Risks of Ignoring

  • Liver failure if untreated
  • Risk of internal bleeding from portal hypertension
  • Metastasis to other vital organs
  • Loss of curative treatment window

Advanced Treatment Options

Tumor Ablation (RFA / MWA)

Uses thermal energy (heat) via a needle-probe to 'burn' smaller, localized tumors under ultrasound or CT guidance. Fast recovery and minimal scarring.

TACE (Trans-Arterial Chemo-Embolization)

Delivers high-dose chemotherapy directly to the tumor via a micro-catheter, followed by embolic particles to starve the tumor of nutrients and trap the drug inside.

TARE / Radioembolization (Y-90)

Delivers millions of microscopic radioactive beads (Y-90) through the blood supply to destroy the tumor with targeted radiation. Often better tolerated for larger tumors.

Key Benefits & Advantages

Targeted therapy spares healthy tissue

Minimally invasive 'pinhole' access

Shorter recovery than traditional surgery

Effective for non-surgical candidates

Can lead to significant tumor shrinkage
